Lemons are Yellow

I think lemons are beautiful, maybe the prettiest yellow in nature. These lemons are hanging from a tree in my neighbors yard into mine. I get to enjoy all of the beauty from the tree without giving up any space in my yard. I also get the benefit of year round lemons. Lucky me!

Inspired by the thought of knitting something in yellow I went to my favorite LYS, Commuknity (who just happens to be having a sale)to look for a yarn that seems to only exsit in my mind. I wanted something that was wool so it would felt, and self-striping. I wanted it to be yellow and orange with a nice blend of color changes.
Emy suggested that maybe I should think about dyeing something. Wouldn't that be fun! Emy is so nice, she helped me look for other yarn. I settled for a couple of skiens of Cascade 220, one in a pale yellow, and one in a pale orange. I also got a ball of Cherio to use with the Cascade. I think it's all going to end up being a small felted bag. We'll see. My goal is to post the completed project by the end of April.

I also got some fabulous hand dyed wool from Magallanes. The colors are deep and rich. The picture does not do it justice. I see a felted book bag in it's future. I will be so stylish in the fall when I start grad school. Assuming I get in...I'm still waiting to hear. That's it for now. I'm off to work on Crimson.
